![]() I've made a very effective character based on throwing weapons Soulknife 4 /Ranger 5 (can also be fighter if you prefer that). Not optimal obviously, but is fun for a meme. ![]() Sharpshooter, Max Dex, +1 weapon, +2 thrown fighting style means your darts do 18 damage before you roll a dice. You can also take precision attack to help with sharpshooter. All bullet points of sharpshooter work with darts.ĥ) Battle master gives you the quick toss maneuver so you have a bonus action attack. Archery is better and you'll need a feat for the second fighting style, not a big deal to delay.Ĥ) For feats you want Sharpshooter and probably much later you want Crossbow Expert or Gunner so you can melee with thrown weapons. Other options would be rogue for sneak attack, gloomstalker ranger or kensei monk.ģ) You want the following fighting styles: Archery (+2 to attacks with ranged weapons) and thrown (+2 damage with thrown weapons). Unless you get a different returning weapon somehow it's highly unlikely that you'll ever have multiple +1 thrown weapons.Ģ) 11 levels in battle master fighter. This is so they can have the ranged AND thrown properties.ġ) 2 levels of Artificer for returning weapon and a +1 weapon. I like this with darts, so you could ask your DM to reflavor darts.
